CSFC - Meet the squad

The Managers

Name: Sean Westlake
A very successful first season for the manager last season when he steered CSFC to 12th place in the table! Didn't have the biggest of squads to choose from and had to play himself a few times. This seasons squad is much bigger and stronger which means this tactical genius can concentrate on guiding the team to greater success

Name: Paul King
Stepped into the breach as joint manager at the end of last season. Kingy is the mouth behind the operation! Experienced player who can bring a wealth of knowledge to the role and a good motivator. Is looking for success in what is his first managerial appointment.

Goalkeeper

Name: Darren Booty
Doodecka. Why use 10 words when you can use 200! Joined towards the end of last season and has impressed with his shot stopping and kicking. Does like to wander out of his area sometimes and take on defenders! Also the club's vice captain . If he tells you he's got a system for winning on black jack don't listen! Doesn't need to read his kids bed time stories, he just talks about rainbow six and they are alseep in seconds.

Defenders

Name: Stuart Kochan
Stu. Represented the leagues rep "B" team last season in central midfield but has been moved to right back this season. A good passer of the ball and has impressed so far this season. Surprisingly mild mannered for a Kochan!

Name: Luke Owers
Monty. Moved from right back to centre back and has adapted well to the position. Can be seen falling to the ground "platoon" style at least once a game. Part of the CSFC "Chav Crew". One of the quieter members of the squad who's only two words you ever hear on the pitch are "get back!!!!!!"

Name: Jon Magee
JB. Strong central defender who has managed to chip in with a few goals as well (that we will never hear the last of). Can sometimes be heard barking like an alsatian when the ball comes near him!. Played the majority of games this season apart from when he was loved up (Sorry JB!).

Name: Kevin Tapley
Peanut. Defender who joined us in pre season. Even the fact that he has played in the same team as Jason before didn't put him off joining. Sliding tackles in training have been his trademark and has started every game at left back when not injured.

Name: Mark Shipley
TC. Versatile player who has played in just about every position (including in goal for 5 minutes last season). One of the more vocal members of the squad and has scored one of the better goals in the club's short history. Has mainly played at centre back recently and the founder member of the team

Name: Glyn Bowerman
Choccoboy - Injury prone central defender. Out for the last 3 months after injuring his back picking up a 5p piece!! His presence in defence has been sorely missed as he was voted "Manager's Player of the Season" last season after a string of impressive performances at the back. Will hopefully return to fitness soon and push for a starting place in the team.

Midfielders

Name: Jon Ptolomey
LJ - youngster who is technically one of the best players in the squad, he just needs to take that into games and get used to being scythed down a bit more! Plays mainly on the right wing but can also play on the left or up front.

Name: David Bowerman
Bub - club captain who has anchored the midfield since the club was founded. A good footballing brain and rarely gives the ball away. Also, the club's penalty taker despite a pea roller last season!. Has taken on more defensive duties so far this season but that hasn't detracted from his consistency. Brings a calming influence to the team on the ball but has been prone to the odd rage off it. Loves team bonding sessions that always seem to end in the cave!

Name: Ross Kochan
Youngest player in the team but a fiery and combative midfielder, Never short of something to say on the pitch either! Has weighed in with goals in pre season and in the first game of this season. Moaned before the first game that he had to take both his earrings out. You know the saying, only poofs and pirates wear earrings and I didn't see any galleons. Definitely one to watch this season.

Name: John Chinake
Cisse - Joined the team by chance by joining in a training run then a training session. It was only after that we realised no one actually knew who he was! Very skilful player who also doesn't mind a 2 footed tackle (just ask Bub). Can play central, wide left and is top of the Opta "shots off target" table by a clear margin.

Name: Chris Evans
Evra - Club secretary and kit man. Also, the bleep test record holder with an amazing level 232!. plays wide, has pace to burn and can get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes without even breaking sweat. Chipped in with a few goals last season and will be looking for more this term.

Name: Josh Bailey
Youngster who joined the club in pre season. In his first friendly he played 30 minutes before having to vomit on the side of the pitch! Quickest at the club by far and will be a real threat on the wing this season. Scored 3 goals in 3 pre season games and another to keep an eye on this season.

Name: Jason Maher
Never short of something to say, unfortunately normally at the time that someone else is talking! Versatile player who played well in goal last season as well as playing centre back, midfield and up front. He claims all of these to be his best position! Another who represented the club for the leagues "B" rep team last season. Also, likes to mark his territory on the pitch like a tom cat before each game!

Forwards

Name: Danny Warner
Wipsy. Great news for CSFC when Wipsy signed at the start of the season. Last season he was limited to a few appearances which led to a big money move from Partners! Bagged a hat trick on the opening day of the season and bound to be vying for top scorer for the team this season.

Name: Daniel Cooper
Fruity. In fact I think if you asked the whole squad if they knew who Daniel Cooper was no one would actually know! Target man of the team and has linked up well with several different forwards. Was the teams leading scorer in the league last season and has even vowed to give up drinking on Saturday nights, turn up on time and not to letch at 14 year olds.....yeah right!

  Name: Andy Smith
Fooly - Another versatile player who joined towards the end of last season but was ineligible to play. Probably the best natural finisher at the club which doesn't explain how he missed a penalty in pre season!. Played the first league game at centre back and put in an impressive performance. Will be put to the test if he ever comes up against Voldemort. Can be known to whinge like an old woman at times as well!
